German artist ASTIR reworks his collaborations with Montreal-based DJ/producer Giuseppe Lanni, stripping the songs bare and shifting the focus to his haunting vocals. ASTIR showcases his knack for minimal singer-songwriter compositions using raw guitars, moody pianos and ambient synth textures to fill in the space around a delicately delivered vocal performance.
